Dumping sequence values with a Data tool
The steps needed to dump sequence values are similar to those for dumping table contents.

To dump sequence values:
- Access the appropriate Data tool (the Data Administration tool if you are using a graphical interface or the Data Dictionary if you are using a character interface).
- Make sure that the database containing the sequences you want to dump or load is the current working database.
- Choose Admin
Dump Data and Definitions
Sequence Values. The Data tool prompts you for the file you want to write the sequence values to. The default filename is
_seqvals.d.- Specify the filename or use the default value. After dumping the sequence values, the Data tool displays a status message and prompts you to continue.
- Choose OK to return to the Data Administration or Data Dictionary main window.
